Lawn Care Business Time Machines

Just the other day my brother offer in compromise settlement speaking to the owner of
one of the largest and most respected full service landscape
companies in Texas.

She told him that she is billing about the same dollar amount
on many of her properties as she did 15 years ago. Imagine that,
FIFTEEN YEARS ago! Think of all the inflation and price increases
that has gone on in that time.

At first this sounds pretty depressing, no, let's make that very
depressing, but she went on to say that because of the technological advances in mowers and the
increased cutting speed in mowers today, she actually makes MORE
money today even billing the same amount.

Think about that, isn't it incredible. Make more money in
less time and the customer actually has had impotence cause net savings
adjusted for inflation.

That automobile donations me to my main point. I am asked many times
what kind of equipment one should buy. That's a loaded
question, and I sometimes retort with, "How much money 'ya
got?".

Realistically though, try and buy the largest cutting deck
you can afford to do the job properly. Any savings in labor
that a larger cutting deck brings will more than pay for the
machine in the long run.

Remember, Mower payments are temporary, labor costs are
forever. A good mower with a larger cutting deck or
fast mowing speed is a labor saving time machine.

How much time do you want to save? How much machine can
you afford?

Till next time, I'll still be out there, Mowing For Money!
